by User
What is this book about?
Proceedings of the International Symposium on Urban Water Management in Southeast Asia, held at the Institute of Technology of Cambodia under the JSPS Core-to-Core Program. Its papers, by researchers working in Cambodia, Thailand and the wider region, model the effect of storm events on urban runoff and water quality in the Trabek catchment of Phnom Penh, simulate river flow in the Chao Phraya basin, couple HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS models to study flooding on the Mekong, and examine garbage blockage in urban drainage channels. Others address climate change and groundwater recharge in Asian cities and the treatment of landfill leachate, with case studies from Thailand, Cambodia and Laos. Each paper gives an abstract, methods, results and references, offering lecturers and students of hydrology and environmental engineering regional case studies. The 187-page volume can be read online and downloaded free of charge.
