Artificial Intelligence Programming is a textbook for pre-service teachers, produced by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport with Korea National University of Education. Its 12 chapters are divided into two sections. Chapters 1 through 4 cover the theory: the history of artificial intelligence, machine learning methods such as decision trees, genetic algorithms, Bayesian networks and reinforcement learning, neural networks and deep learning, AI education tools (Teachable Machine, PRG AI Scratch and Entry), and block-based programming in Scratch. Later chapters are hands-on projects that train Teachable Machine sound and image models and program them in Scratch, such as Rocket-loving Rainbow and Taking Care of a Virtual Companion Animal, followed by questions and exercises. Student teachers can use it to learn core AI concepts and practise building classroom AI projects. The book has 219 pages and can be read online and downloaded free of charge.
